E4C School Nutrition program includes School Lunch, Snack, Summer Snack, and Young Chefs. E4C School Nutrition provides a healthy and nutritious snack or lunch each school day to children attending high-needs schools.


The primary focus of the E4C Nutrition Support Worker is to successfully deliver nutrition programs to children in the school. This position performs a variety of responsible food service activities including preparation and service of food items; maintains food preparation area, food service utensils, equipment facilities, and service areas in a clean and sanitary manner; and performs other related duties as assigned.


Hours: Employment is based on a school calendar year. Recruiting for Relief/ Casual hours. Please state your availability with your application.


Salary: 12.98 per hour.

In your role you will:

  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on food deliver, quality, and community satisfaction with the program.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit completed records to e4c school nutrition office.
  • Receive food orders and use appropriate inventory management.
  • Ensure safe and sanitary storage, and preparation of food
  • Serve lunch to school children, while adhering to safe handling and proper sanitation practices and regulations.
  • Creative menu preparation.

A successful candidate would require:

  • Previous volunteer experience within a school or community an asset.
  • Experience working with children and diverse communities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation procedures
  • Awareness of food security issues in Edmonton.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Moderate lifting required.
  • Must enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds including children and volunteers.
  • Must provide Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check
