General Function:

Reporting to the Manager of Senior Services, the person is responsible for transporting seniors to attend activities and assist in preparation and running activities for frail seniors.


  1. Service Responsibilities:

  • Drive agency 7-passenger van and safely transport seniors and persons with disabilities who attend the Adult Day Service
  • Assist passengers moving in and out of the vehicle. Organize and store walkers and mobility aids securely in vehicle.
  • Maintain the vehicle and keep it clean.
  •  Pick up food and other goods as necessary.
  • Assist other staff members in setting up and delivering day to day program activities for active and frail seniors.
  • Submit accurate record and statistics on petty cash and transportation services
  •     eg. receipts, mileage records, gas expenditure, number of trips etc.
  • Assist clients in daily living activities as required, e.g. feeding, cleaning up and toileting
  • Assist in general maintenance and up-keep of the Senior Activities Centre.
  •  Use online timecard system to record attendance and time taken
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • High school graduate and 2 years recent experience transporting and providing   physical care to seniors
  • A valid Class “G” driver licence, with 3 years clean and excellent driving record
  • Physically able to lift, support weight, bend, crouch and be on foot a large part of the   work day
  • Knowledge of lifting techniques
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance, and adherence to service schedules
  • Able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skOrganizational Responsibilities:
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Reliable and flexible.
  • Vulnerable sector police check
