GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
To provide regular support and communication assistance to the Riverdale Community Planning Team.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the chair or designate of the Riverdale Community Planning Team to provide the following:
• Promote and provide information about the Riverdale Community Planning Team within the community
including its mission, vision, values and activities.
• Encourage residents to attend and participate in Riverdale Community Planning Team meetings.
• Inform, engage and assist residents in the application process of the small projects grants.
• Regularly attend Riverdale Community Planning Team meetings and provide updates to committee members.
• Prepare and deliver information sessions in the community about the Riverdale Community Planning Team.
• Any other related duties as assigned.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to become oriented to the Riverdale community and to gain knowledge of an asset-based community
approach.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Profi ciency working with Microsoft Offi ce (ie. Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work with individuals and groups from diverse communities and sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team is a must.
• Residency in the Riverdale neighborhood (boundary restriction: Queenston Road, Centennial Parkway North,
Barton Street East, Lake Avenue North) will be an asset.
• Ability to speak other languages: Punjabi, Cambodian, Hindi or Urdu will be an asset.
• Ability to communicate in French an asset.
