This is a part-time position (17 hours/week).
Put your passion and enthusiasm to work as an agent of change for children and youth in care! As a Child and Youth Care Support Worker you play an integral role in fostering an encouraging, compassionate environment for children and youth experiencing disabilities. You are responsible for observing and documenting client activities and behaviors, assisting in the development of healthy life and social skills, and encouraging participation in various client focused recreational activities. Experience working with individuals with mental disabilities and challenging behaviours is preferred.
As an influential role model, you build effective relationships based on trust, and open communication. Your ability to multitask and work efficiently allows you to support children and youth, prepare them for the future and provide quality care in a comfortable environment.
Your grade 12 diploma or equivalent, combined with some related experience in the field of child and youth care and/or disabilities, as well as a valid driver's licence will ensure your success in this role.
