Location: Toronto Salary: $47,500 to $73,500 per annum (depending on qualification and experience)

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • working as a support person with foster and kinship families. 
  • SAFE assessments, evaluations and approval of applicants
  • advocating to achieve permanency for children living with members of the child's extended family or community.
  • lead for PRIDE training, and ongoing education for kin and foster families.
  • Preparing all requirements for Ministry standards and agency practices and procedures.
  • Assisting with policies and procedures development
  • Community outreach and agency liaison activities

 

Qualifications:

  • BSW or MSW
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience
  • Membership in OCSW & SSW
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License is required
  • A demonstrated knowledge in child welfare, residential services including foster care and kinship.
  • Working knowledge of the CFSA and Ministry guidelines regarding foster care license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and computer knowledge
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience with training, group work and assessments
