Salary:
$47,500 to $73,500 per annum (depending on qualification and experience)
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
working as a support person with foster and kinship families.
SAFE assessments, evaluations and approval of applicants
advocating to achieve permanency for children living with members of the child's extended family or community.
lead for PRIDE training, and ongoing education for kin and foster families.
Preparing all requirements for Ministry standards and agency practices and procedures.
Assisting with policies and procedures development
Community outreach and agency liaison activities
Qualifications:
BSW or MSW
Minimum of 3 years related experience
Membership in OCSW & SSW
Valid Ontario Driver’s License is required
A demonstrated knowledge in child welfare, residential services including foster care and kinship.
Working knowledge of the CFSA and Ministry guidelines regarding foster care license
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good organizational skills and computer knowledge
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Experience with training, group work and assessments
