Position Title: Stopping the Violence Counsellor
Program: Women’s Counselling Program
Location: Fort St. John
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related human/social services field. Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Duties: Provides individual and group counselling to women who have been victims of various forms of abuse. Has a feminist and trauma based perspective. Assesses the safety of the clients and their children and supports clients in reducing safety risks. Maintain case notes, client records, forms and statistical information. Ability to operate a PC and related software
Other Job Information: This job will require evening and may require weekend hours.
Vehicle Use: You must have a valid driver’s license.
Hourly Rate: $24.78 - $28.86 depending on experience
