On-Call Supervisor – Every other Weekend (Six month secondment opportunity)
This Supervisor position is a good opportunity to step into a management role and learn all the ins and outs of the respective responsibilities and accountabilities.
A unique position, the role does not have assigned programs, but is responsible to respond to urgent program situations.
Positions would have a rotating scheduling every other weekend from 4pm Friday to 8am Monday to address any issues/concerns that may arise for people supported and staff.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years full time experience in a senior staff role and a graduate of a post-secondary education in human services; proven interpersonal capabilities for positive working relationships with all stakeholders; a working knowledge of Quality Assurance Measures and experience with both Collective Agreements while working in a unionized environment and Occupational Health and Safety.
Demonstrated skills include creative problem solving, conflict resolution, excellent written and verbal communication, time management/organizational skills, service planning, budgeting, proficient computer skills and a team player who can promote a culture of respect, trust and modernization.
The successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and must provide own transportation. They will also be required to have an up to date First Aid/CPR Certificate; Vulnerable Sector Police Check, medical and a minimum of 2 work related references.
