Job brief

We are looking for a competent Program Coordinator to undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks. You will be planning, coordinating,organizing programs and activities as well as carry out important operational duties.To be an excellent program coordinator, you must be organized, able to work with little supervision and write grants,detail-oriented, comfortable working with diverse teams. If you have further skills in program development and youth support, we’d like to meet you.

The goal will be to facilitate the effective management of programs according to the organization’s policy and meeting funders expectations.


  • Support in planning, facilitating and coordination of youth and children's program and its activities
  • Write reports and grant applications, schedule guest speakers, partner with other organizations
  • Ensure implementation of programs, coordination of volunteers, students and and participants
  • Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions
  • Manage communications through media relations, social media  and create posters, flyers etc.
  • Help build positive relations within the team and external parties
  • Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda
  • Manage office, perform administrative duties as expected according to policy
  • Prepare paperwork and order material
  • Keep updated records and create reports or proposals
  • Support growth and program development


  • Proven experience as program coordinator or relevant position
  • Knowledge of program management and development procedures
  • Knowledge of budgeting, bookkeeping and reporting
  • Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, efficient and ability to accept our participants and follow our policies
  • Diploma in Social works or Human Services or BSc/BA in business administration or experience working with vulnerable children and youths
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision is mandatory.


Hours: Wednesdays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday -Friday 9:00 am - 12:30 pm, Saturday 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.


This is a contract position and renewal is subject to funding.


Rate: $16 per hour
