WE is currently recruiting a Program Manager for The WE Learning Centre (WLC).  The WLC is international hub for youth engagement, and the site of the new global headquarters for WE Charity.  The WE Learning Centre will bring service-learning resources to 10,000+ schools, ensuring that every student and educator experiences the empowerment and life skill development associated with service-learning, while these young change-makers benefit their community and world.

WE Learning Centre is currently seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial professional to serve as its Program Manager. Reporting to the Director, WE Learning Centre the program manager will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and leading the implementation of all youth and educator programs at the WE Learning Centre.  The Program Manager will work closely with the WE Schools team to ensure the program designed that is aligned with our school segment vision.

Your Impacts:

  • Support all community and corporate partners operating programming at WE Learning Centre
  • Help maintain and grow stakeholder engagement, building and fostering relationships with service collaborative members and community stakeholders.
  • Lead outreach and promotion in the community and with our schools/groups to ensure access for youth in all WE Learning Centre programs.
  • Support ongoing qualitative evaluation of our programmatic impact through a variety of methods including surveys, focus groups and interviews.
  • Support scheduling and registration process for all programs at WE Learning Centre.
  • Develop programming and work with Directors across the organization to ensure programs are meeting the needs of their stakeholders and achieving goals based on key performance indicators.
  • Develop internal status reports, progress and outcomes of partnership activities.
  • Support the design, implementation, oversight, evaluation and constant iteration of all WE Learning Centre signature programs.
  • Implement strategies that will maximize collaboration and synergies among program areas and partners.
  • Assist in conducting ongoing qualitative evaluation of our programmatic impact through a variety of methods including: surveys, focus groups and interviews.
  • Work closely with Measurement and Evaluation team to ensure programs are being refined to achieve key outcomes and results.
  • Support all administrative aspects of programs, including budget, staffing, program logistics and other related duties as necessary.
  • Remain up-to-date on new research and best practices that will enhance the quality and standards of program implementation.

What you bring:

  • 3+ years designing and executing programs for all groups of children and youth
  • Strong experience in youth engagement and youth outreach
  • Post-Secondary Education/Degree or field of study in Youth Programming, Recreation or Social Services considered an asset
  • Experience overseeing programming budgets
  • Proven track record of working with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds
  • Proven track record of working with senior business, government and non-profit leaders
  • Strong critical thinking and conceptual skills to think and plan strategically and the ability to translate this into practical and feasible operational program planning both in written and verbal formats
  • Excellent ability to interact with diverse communities and community organizations with high energy
  • Strong customer service skills including flexibility and patience to deal with varied clientele in a professional manner
  • Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • High professional standards with the ability to see big picture and manage practical details
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Adhere to all WE service standards and policies including Health & Safety
