WE is seeking a National Sales Manager to join our Business Development team. This individual will report directly to the Head of Business Development. 

Your Impacts:

  • Develops and implements a strategic and tactical sales plan to achieve National Partnership sales targets.
  • Using internal and external information sources, builds and maintains National Partnership prospect lists and establishes a robust pipeline for national partnerships.
  • Prospects and engages C-suite executives and decision makers within the potential partner's organization to pitch and secure new national partnership agreements with WE.
  • Works independently or in partnership with WE Executive team to pitch, present proposals, and negotiate partnership terms.
  • Leads and develops a team of Regional Directors in Canada who are accountable for planning and implementing regional prospecting and engagement plans and achieving regional sales targets.
  • Proficient at using CRM systems to track and report on partner engagement from prospecting to close including detailed call notes and progress updates
  • Works with Strategy team for prospect clearance and partnership research
  • Works with Strategy team to develop customized boardroom-type presentations
  • Works with WE legal counsel to negotiate long-term contracts that address the critical areas of our fundraising model while ensuring terms and conditions that will minimize organizational risk.
  • Works with Sponsorship Activation team and Partner Relations team to develop comprehensive proposals that result in the timely and successful partnership onboarding
  • Maintains ongoing knowledge of industry trends and competitive environment.

 
Reporting and Relationships:

  • This position will reside within the WE Charity Business Development Team, and will also work closely with the Sponsorship Activation and Partner Relations teams
  • The National Account Manager, Business Development, WE Charity will report directly to the Head, Global Business Development, WE Charity
  • This position will work closely with and collaborate with WE Executive team and various Directors on the Development team.

 
What you bring:

  • Proven track record in fundraising, sponsorship, sales, or corporate partnerships (Minimum 10 yrs. experience).
  • Proven track record in leading and developing sales teams.
  • Possess a degree/qualification, preferably in business administration, marketing, or a related field with a minimum of four years working experience
  • Ability to travel >60% of the time. Ability to travel Internationally.
  • Ability to work closely with high level sponsors and corporate partners with the highest level of professionalism
  • Highly self – motivated and independent, a strategic thinker
  • Excellent time management, organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong oral communication and presentation skills
