CANADA SUMMER JOBS STUDENT POSITION: FULL-TIME (35 HOURS PER WEEK) FOR 16 WEEKS

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Community Giving, you will provide database, administrative and community events support to the Community Giving team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) project, which includes data cleanup, data testing and conversion of the database;
  • Update information on existing and potential donors using MS Excel and Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce software;
  • Assist with research of individuals, corporations, foundations and organizations;
  • Assist with donations processing and tax receipting;
  • Assist with invoice approval, purchase orders, and invoice tracking;
  • Assist with updating donor solicitation/communication preferences;
  • Assist with in-house mailings as required; and
  • Assist with community events.

 

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS

  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
  • Have been registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year;
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with BC legislation and regulations.

 

PREFERENCES

  • High degree of professionalism and strict adherence to maintaining confidentiality and privacy;
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail; and
  • Computer experience with MS Office. Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce an asset.

 

HOURLY RATE

  • $10.85
