Located in the Oakridge area of Vancouver, B.C., Louis Brier Home and Hospital is a 215 bed accredited residential facility situated next to the Weinberg Residence, home to 40 assisted living and 20 private pay complex care residents. Reporting to the Director, Quality and Risk Management, the Coordinator, Quality and Risk Management has primary responsibility for providing confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Quality and Risk Management Department. Responsibilities include: acting as the primary point of contact on behalf of the Director; triaging correspondence; scheduling and organizing meetings; drafting agendas and distributing minutes; coordinating projects; producing reports and correspondence; maintaining databases; coordinating leave requests; amending work schedules; processing timekeeping records; responding to program queries; coordinating medical escort requests; reviewing transfer of a companion responsibilities; and performing other duties as required.


Graduation from a recognized administrative assistant/secretarial post secondary program plus three (3) to five (5) years of experience supporting senior level management. Must have advanced word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, desktop publishing, and database software skills and the ability to type a minimum of 60 w.p.m. Experience in a health care setting, and medical terminology are assets to assist the incumbent in understanding the operations and language of the long-term care facility.
