Position:  Room Supervisor (Child Development Supervisor)

The Room Supervisor reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for ensuring that all room activities reflect the mission, vision and policies of ICFC. This includes working with room staff to provide high quality experiences for children, supervising room staff, demonstrating effective intercultural practice and child-centred guidance, and creating a warm, welcoming environment for children and families. The Room Supervisor is responsible for orienting and evaluating room staff, creating the room’s staffing schedule, and maintaining records.

 

The Room Supervisor is actively involved in planning using an emergent curriculum approach, documenting children’s learning, writing learning stories and providing support to room staff to become involved in these practices.
