The partnership will be opening one transitional house for youth and young adults ages 16-25. Our houses will offer a safe and supportive place for clients to stay while planning their next transition.


 Our houses have recovery oriented services using a harm reduction model, a welcoming environment, inclusive care, and a commitment to excellence. We are looking for energetic, passionate and dedicated individuals to deliver our wellness focused client support model.


Hours: Full-time awake, 40 hours a week, 4 on 4 off rotation 10:00pm - 8:00am

In Your Role You Will

  • Be the first point of contact, decision-making, and support at night for staff from up to 3 sites, with residents ranging from emerging adults (14-25) to adults (25-65), who may be under the influence or active in their addictions, or actively struggling with mental health issues.
  • Support staff in de-escalating crisis situations via the phone or in person; responsible for decision making authority while on shift.
  • Crisis intervention and one-on-one support for residents and/or staff.
  • Review Incident Reports (IRs) and complete follow up, as needed
  • Complete Critical Incident Reports (CIRs), as needed
  • Provide debriefing for staff and residents when necessary.
  • Comply with all legislation, bylaws and standards (health, fire, safety, city, and accreditation).
  • Understand and practice E4C’s operating policy and procedures and programming policy and procedures.



  • Bachelor level degree and/or Diploma in Social Work, Child Youth Care, Nursing, or human service field or equivalent AND three years of related direct service work experience.
  • Experience and interest in working with street-involved people. Experience working in high pressure, emotionally challenging situations on a regular basis.
  • Experience using evidence based models of practice.
  • Current Suicide Intervention First Aid and CPR.
  • Valid Driver’s License, registration and insurance, and operation of personal vehicle required



  • Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of community resources available to participants
  • Strong crisis intervention/de-escalation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in crisis situations.
