WE is seeking a strong leader to act as a Head, Retail & Specialty Partners to join the Partner Relations department. The Head, Retail & Specialty Partners will report to the Chief Development Officer, Partnerships. The individual will manage a team of three (3) direct reports (Directors) and a team of approximately 12 (Partnership Managers and Coordinators) by providing strategic leadership and oversight. The Head, Retail & Specialty Partners will also work closely with Roxanne Joyal, CEO, ME to WE.
 
This individual must be passionate and committed to the core beliefs of the organization—the WE.org Philosophy.
 
The position is based out of WE’s office in Toronto.
 
Your Impacts:

  • Accountable for maintaining the health and success of key partner relationships:
    • Ensure solid relationship management, particularly with partner senior leaders
    • Information management and project management of complex, multi-year partnership commitments
    • Focus on partner retention and re-engagement
    • Proactively seek growth and/or expansion opportunities
    • Manage risks associated with partnership
  • Develop a partner strategic plan and ensure that it meets partner’s business and/or CSR objectives
  • Oversee execution of partnership commitments , including deliverables and key
  • milestones
  • Responsible for Annual Business Planning
    • Ensure integration with ME to WE business plans to ensure one integrated plan for each retail partner
    • Completion of an annual business plan for each partner
  • Act as ME to WE ambassador and knowledge base within Partner Relations team
  • Focus on the Human Capital Plan and Performance Management routines for the team:
    • Ensure job descriptions, growth and success plans, check-ins and end of year meetings are completed for direct reports and rest of team
    • Ensure the optimal team structure based on number of partners and workload
    • Focus on employee retention
  • Work closely with Co-Founders and Executive team on larger partners
    • Provide proactive communication to executives as needed

 
What you bring:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience with a balance of retail, consumer marketing, customer marketing, sponsorship and/or partnership management expertise
  • Well-developed leadership skills and proven experience of managing a team
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships to yield critical business outcomes
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
