1 FT, 40 hrs/week
This is a 12 month term position with a possibility of an extension.

In collaboration with Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary, United Way and identified Calgary Board of Education and Calgary Catholic School District high schools, the “All In” For Youth Program Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the program including staff supervision, case consultation, supporting staff with system navigation and adhering to program budget.  A focus of this role will also be to provide input in regards to program outcomes, evaluation, reporting and the ongoing development of processes in consultation with the Program Manager and the United Way “All In” for Youth team.  The Coordinator will build collaborative relationships with the Administration teams within the identified schools and with all external partners involved in the “All In” For Youth program.  The Program Coordinator must ensure that programs and services meet the needs of the youth while operating within the mission, values, vision, and strategic plan of BGCC. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensure that a thorough and complete orientation is completed and ongoing support and supervision is provided for all new staff members, volunteers and practicum students
  • Ensure programming meets the needs of the youth and the schools by ensuring that staff ‘s vacation and time off compliment the school calendar 
  • Support the staff team with regular case consultation, caseload supervision and system navigation.
  • Ensure the team work with identified youth using a strength based, trauma informed practice.
  • Act as a liaison between the staff team and the school Administration when conflict occurs.
  • Provide monthly/quarterly reports to United Way “All In” For Youth team and adapt the reports as required to fit the ongoing nature of the program.  
  • Provide the relevant information for the annual report to United Way on behalf of the Agency.
  • Ensure appropriate training in and use of the identified youth goal setting tools and case management practices used within the program.
  • Provide support and direction to the team with regards to program development. 
  • Degree or diploma in human services or related social services field with three to five years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 3 years supervision experience
  • Proven track record of community development that demonstrates skills in valuing partnership and collaboration among non-profit and youth-serving organizations
  • Extensive understanding of vulnerable youth and the multi-faceted issues they face
  • Acceptable drivers abstract and access to automobile, Class 4 drivers an asset
  • Current certification for First Aid and CPR
  • Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search and Child Welfare Intervention Check
Please Note: Successful candidates will complete criminal record check and child intervention record check at the time of new hire paperwork.  A criminal record check and child intervention record check dated within 6 months of the interview date will also be accepted.
