Dr. Peter Centre – Compassionate Innovative Care


For twenty years, the Dr. Peter Centre has been a place of compassionate care for persons living with HIV, and additional complex medical conditions, mental illness, trauma, addiction, and social vulnerabilities such as poverty and unstable housing.  The Centre’s day health program, 24-hr licensed care residence, and enhanced supportive housing supports over 450 persons, annually. As well, our Knowledge Translation and Evaluation Program is engaged in sharing our innovative care experience with health care organizations across Canada and beyond.

Your Opportunity to Lead


The Foundation is seeking a philanthropy manager to build upon a solid history of meaningful donor engagement and stewardship, and to inspire a new generation of supporters. You will be responsible for the leadership, management, and supervision of a Philanthropy Officer, a part-time communications officer, as well as contracted external support and internal resources supporting the philanthropy department.    

You will be responsible for leading, formulating, recommending, and delivering a fund raising plan and managing the major gifts portfolio.

You have a proven reputation as a very successful philanthropy professional; you have utmost integrity; your collaborative style contributes to an organization’s collective strength; your managerial capabilities bring out the best in others, internal and external to the organization.


Preferred Profile


You will have a post-secondary degree, or equivalent, that complements your natural capability   of inspiring and engaging individuals to do greater good; you have a minimum of five years of senior, generalist experience in social impact fundraising; and knowledge of philanthropy systems, structures, and procedures.
