UP employs a wide variety of full-time and casual professionals in the following areas:
 Group Care - Child and Youth Workers for Edmonton and Area, Wetaskiwin, Ponoka and Red Deer.
 Collaborative Service Delivery (Family Support/Intervention Services) - Child and Youth Workers, Social Workers for Edmonton and Area.
 Education - Child and Youth Workers, Teachers and Education Assistants for Edmonton and Area.


Required knowledge:
 Indigenous culture, customs and beliefs;
 Current and emerging issues of importance to Indigenous people and communities;
 Cree language or one of the other Indigenous languages in Treat 6, 7 or 8 Traditional Territories and/or Metis Settlements. Persons who self-identify as Indigenous are strongly encouraged to apply;
 Passion for working with children, youth and families;
Willing to work flexible hours that meet the needs of the children/families including evenings and weekends.


Qualifications/Experience: Must have a diploma/degree in Child Youth Care, Social Work, Education or related field, good verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience working with children, youth and families would be a definite asset.
Other requirements: A current, clear Police Information Check, Intervention Record Check, driver’s license, current abstract and vehicle are all required. Must be willing to work shifts and weekends.


Salary & Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience and education. We also provide full-time employees with a 100% employer paid health benefits package (which includes vision, dental and prescription drug coverage, massage therapy, etc.) a 100% employer paid RRSP equaling 3% of annual salary (please note, part time employees (0.5FTE) are not eligible for RRSP), and a flexible schedule. We also offer free courses and workshops in-house for all of our employees.
