POSITION: Trauma Counselling Manager – Permanent Part-Time
CURRENT LOCATION: Trauma Counselling Program - Surrey
CURRENT HOURS: 24 hr/wk
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Manager of SOURCES Trauma Counselling Program (TCP) is responsible for the management of the Stopping the Violence Program which includes both individual and group counselling. The Program Manager will support and provide supervision and have a strong working knowledge of ethical standards and practice in crisis counseling assessment, planning, and treatment. The Program Manager engages in Community Development projects and initiatives in the Stopping the Violence field. The manager is also responsible for administrative duties including the maintenance of accreditation standards (COA), ensuring the development and implementation of a plan for service for each client, staff supervision, in-service staff development and fiscal management. The Program Manager will formulate and develop program proposals, provide program information to the community, research potential funding sources with Senior Management, will work in consultation with external contractors and oversee all contractual agreements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s Degree in a related discipline, minimum five years counselling experience and a sound working knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and intervention strategies.
• Five years’ proven experience in proposal/grant writing, participating on community roundtables and operationalizing innovative ideas and projects
• Five years’ experience working in the not-for-profit sector in a leadership role
• Sound working knowledge of program development and strategic planning
• Strong supervision skills are required
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills
• Clear criminal record check
START DATE: July 15, 2017
SALARY: $27- 30 per hour
BENEFITS: As per benefits package
