This position is posted to cover a maternity leave to July 2018.

 

Contract & Risk Management is the team within Finance responsible for developing and monitoring CLBC’s contract funding framework, risk monitoring and management, internal control and financial process development and other ad-hoc projects as they arise. The section acts as a resource of expert advice on service provider funding and monitoring, the development and application of financial policy and risk management.

 

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Manager, Contract Funding and Accountability, the position supports the Director, Contract and Risk Management and their staff. The Contract and Risk Management team provides support to CLBC’s Integrated Service Managers, Practice Leads and their staff, and works with other members of CLBC’s Finance division to support the Vice President, Finance. The position functions in a challenging environment of limited resources where priorities are continuously changing, requiring the incumbent to work proactively under pressure and with minimal direction.

 

The Senior Analyst position supports the efforts of the Contract and Risk Management team to meet its ongoing contract funding, contract accountability and internal control responsibilities, and as such will be involved in a wide variety of projects. These include:

  • Compiling and maintaining complex Excel databases to accurately capture current service provider funding practices and inform CLBC’s strategic funding decision making;
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of change management processes to reflect updates to funding practice;
  • Field and service provider guidance concerning contractual and reporting procedures;
  • Financial reviews to assess service providers’ compliance with CLBC’s contractual reporting requirements and funding framework;
  • Internal control and financial process development.

 

Qualifications:

Relevant Bachelor level university degree and CPA professional accounting designation or equivalent.

Excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

 

Recent and relevant experience in:

  • Financial analysis and contract funding and monitoring within a large and complex organization;
  • Process development;
  • Conducting financial reviews;
  • Development and implementation of policy and procedures;
  • Providing finance based consulting services to a variety of client groups.
