Job Profile:

  

The Director provides overall management of a protocol driven, evidence-based, cognitive behaviour therapy program; and will lead the initiative towards expanded delivery to target populations. This CBT intervention is delivered by coaches who support clients to use CBT-based structured self management materials to address depression and anxiety in youth and adults.

 

The Director is responsible for leading the development, implementation and monitoring the progress of the program implementation plan and ensuring the team meets or exceeds all KPIs within established budgets. The incumbent is responsible for recruitment, induction and strategies across the program and creates a culture and processes which achieve the business goals and objectives with regards to client service. The Director will be responsible for ensuring client satisfaction, responding to client complaints and concerns and to ensure that CMHA York Region gains and maintains recognition for quality client service.

 

In addition to compliance with all organizational policies and procedures, the incumbent is also expected to behave ethically, demonstrate competence in effective communication and team building, demonstrate effectiveness in working in a collaborative environment, and demonstrate confidence in decision-making and in building relationships.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Degree in a relevant discipline. Preference given to a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or in a health related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a comparable role
  • Program management and supervision experience
  • A second language (French, Cantonese, Mandarin, Farsi, Italian, Korean, Punjabi, Russian, Tamil, Urdu) reflecting the local community is an asset.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and quality improvement is required and Lean Six Sigma is an asset.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in Primary Health Care
  • Experience in the non-profit sector, ideally in a health or mental health context and working in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in writing and submitting government reports.
  • Project/program management excellence; highly organized and systematic
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and funders
  • Cross cultural experience, ideally in a health or mental health context
  • Comfort and skill in delivering presentations
  • A valid Canadian driver’s license, a minimum $1,000,000 third party liability insurance
  • A satisfactory and current Vulnerable Sector Screening

 

This position reports to and is supervised by the CEO.

 

 

Working Conditions: Works extensively at a desk using a computer, standard office setting, and occasional weekend/evening hours will be required
