We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced team player to fill the full-time position of Digital Marketing Specialist. The Digital Marketing Specialist will play a crucial role in helping research, plan, coordinate, and execute all digital marketing and communications strategies and initiatives for Arts Commons and Arts Commons Present. Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications, the Digital Marketing Specialist provides support to both staff and management teams.

 

You are:

  • Focused on sales and motivated as Box Office Liaison in order to:
    • Implement dynamic price increases, special promotions, pre-sales, on-sales, etc.
    • Learn and use Tessitura (CRM) in order to leverage our database
    • Lead the Tessitura Marketing User Group
    • Provide weekly sales reporting
  • Empowered to lead Digital Marketing campaign planning, implementation, and management for Arts Commons Presents
    • Develops, implements, and tracks in-house Facebook and Google advertising
    • Supports digital partner, keeping them accountable, and providing regular campaign reports
    • Responsible for collaborating with Creative Manager, Communications Manager, and Social Media Coordinator, on the execution and expansion of tactics in order to meet sales goals
  • Supremely organized in order to:
    • Plan and develop pre-show advisories, sales eblasts, and other digital communications for Arts Commons Presents
    • Update and maintain mailing lists for Arts Commons Presents
    • Create regular reports, demonstrating results from integrated initiatives, interpreting the data, and providing recommendations to inform future marketing activities
  • Technically adept in order to fulfill:
    • Website management & maintenance for ArtsCommons.ca
      • Responsible for facilitating regular website audits (e.g. quarterly) to ensure all content is up to date and functionality is optimized for the best user experience
      • Monitor and address any issues with content provided by other administrators
      • Maintaining, scheduling, and implementing content updates
    • Tracking month-over-month analytics for social media and web, reporting on it monthly
    • Assisting the Director, Marketing & Communications with special digital and web projects
  • Experienced in:
    • Digital Marketing budget management, including recording of estimates vs. actuals, creation of POs, reconciling of invoices, month-end reporting, forecasting, etc.
  • Available for other duties as assigned

 

Applicants should have a degree or diploma in Marketing (or a related business field) and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a DIGITAL Marketing & Communications role. Other desired skills and qualifications include:

 

  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint)
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and customer service skills
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to analyze outcomes
  • Excellent organization skills, be process oriented, and have an ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work at a high level, both independently and in a team environment
  • Experience with Tessitura is a strong asset
  • A passion for the arts

 

This position has a 40-hour work-week, with occasional evening and weekend work required. A competitive compensation package, including extended health benefits, is offered.
