Full-time, Non-union position


As a team member of the Innovative & Collaborative Technology Services Department, the Senior Student Information Analyst participates and provides direct support to the development, engineering, implementing and ongoing maintenance of all student management applications. The Senior Student Information Analyst also oversees the secondary schools scheduling teams with creating and maintaining the secondary school’s timetables.


The Senior Student Information Analyst also participates in the coordination of programs and procedures in all schools to meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education and the London District Catholic School Board to comply with current legislation.


Qualifications and Skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree in information sciences, technology, computer science or related field or equivalent
  • Proven knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, practices, and diagnostic procedures
  • Minimum five years’ experience implementing and supporting Student Information Management systems
  • Minimum five years’ experience creating, maintaining and troubleshooting secondary school timetabling (experience at multiple schools preferred)
  • Proven knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL or T-SQL programming
  • Knowledge of additional SQL services and tools such as: SSRS, SSIS, and SQL developer
  • Proven knowledge of HTML and CSS languages
  • Strong understanding of Business Intelligence Tools (Cognos, Watson, etc.)
  • Experience with report development tools such as Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services or equivalent
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Package
  • Experience as a trainer in both one-to-one and classroom type settings
  • Experience with student management help desk support
  • Knowledge of Ministry of Education rules of the registers and OnSIS business rules and logic
  • Ability to work unsupervised, be part of a cooperative team and demonstrate leadership abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and respond to requests in a timely manner
  • Highly trustworthy; capable of handling business critical and sensitive information
