Renewed Computer Technology is a not for profit organization which manages a number of programs, the largest of which is the Computers for Schools program in Ontario. 

 

RCT is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the position of Data Input Clerk at our St. Catharines location. The individual will perform administrative duties in relation to school and charity requests and enters associated activities in the centre’s database in relation to equipment orders, requests and deliveries of refurbished components.

 

Computer Requests

  • Review all computer requests received by email/ fax and match with Industry Canada qualifying criteria
  • Clarify and coordinate with each recipient details of each order and expected completion date
  • Enter details of order in the production database and coordinate production dates with technicians.
  • Place equipment orders with Mississauga Warehouse, as needed
  • Prepare order ready notifications for approved and processed orders and email or fax to recipients
  • Coordinate type and date of payment for orders and forward details to the Finance Manager
  • Request logistics quotes and coordinate with the Donations Coordinator for orders to be delivered
  • Notify the recipients on completed orders and advise on scheduled pick-up dates
  • Prepare delivery details paperwork, along with warranty details and recycling vouchers, if applicable
  • Submit MAR information to the Warehouse Manager/Administrator on COA’s assigned to outgoing orders
  • Maintain information on the database regarding Centre activities: orders, deliveries and warranty issues

 

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary training in customer service
  • Must have knowledge of the Greater Toronto area
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, Access, Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and proactively problem solve and take initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
  • Bilingualism, an asset

 

Program requirements:

This position is a HRSDC funded program under the Youth Employment Strategy program and has strict qualifying criteria as follows:

  • Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 30 years
  • Must be a student currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution or a youth who has completed at least 1 course at a university or other post-secondary institution
  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
  • Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations
  • Must not be previous participants in a HRSDC youth funded program
  • Not in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits

 

Contract term: Approximately 6 - 7 months

Salary: $13.50 per hour (37.5 hour work week)
