 Two (2) Permanent Full-time Positions (35 hours per week)



The Youth Transitioning Worker will assist youth (15-19 yrs of age) connected with Ministry for Children and Families Development on working towards independence.




  • Working with Youth connected to the Ministry for Children and Families Development.
  • Providing one to one outreach support to youth in the community.
  • Monitoring curfews for court ordered youth.
  • Responsibility for creating and implementing strategies designed to work toward individual client goals such as the development of social and life skills, communication skills, behaviour management skills and increased independence.
  • Responsibility for scheduling, report writing and maintaining contact with Social Workers and other community professionals.
  • Some weekends and evenings required.


Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in a related field. Consideration will be given to other related education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Class 5 Drivers License, full time use of reliable vehicle and satisfactory driving abstract.


Job Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience working with Aboriginal youth is an asset.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Crisis Line experience an asset.
