Transitions has a great opportunity for an experienced and progressive professional who thrives on the challenge of leading a diverse portfolio.

 

We are a not-for-profit service provider that has dedicated 35+ years to assist people with developmental disabilities and their families primarily in the St. Albert/Sturgeon County area.

 

A senior management position has recently become available. The incumbent will join our innovative team whose vision is on working to foster a community where people with disabilities are valued citizens.  This position will provide leadership and direction to the development and delivery of Early Intervention and Family Services to children, youth and families in the Association’s service area.  You will be responsible for the design and delivery of services utilizing an effective team approach.  As a member of the Senior Leadership team the Director participates in decision making relative to plans, policy, programs, priorities and resource allocation for the entire organization.

 

Ideally the incumbent will have extensive experience in leading and mentoring employees. Knowledge of human services in general and the disability sector in particular is desired. 

 

The successful candidate will possess a post-secondary education in a related field.  They will also have a minimum of five years relevant experience in a leadership role and extensive experience supporting children with developmental disabilities and their families. Education and work experiences equivalencies will be considered. Strong interpersonal, communication, team building, negotiating, analytical and problem solving skills are a must.  Demonstrated experience in budgetary and planning processes required.

 

We offer a competitive salary, benefits package and a creative, high energy work environment.  This position works 36.25 hours per week for 44 weeks and 29 hours per week for 8 weeks during July and August.
