Location / Lieu: 351 Crowder Blvd Newmarket ON,

 

Position / Poste:  Full Time  Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation Worker/ Acquired Brain Injury Supportive Housing Program  35 hours per week, one weekend in every 4 weeks required

 

Duties / Fonctions:

  • Support consumers in their homes with Activities of Daily Living such as support with bathing, and personal hygiene as well as Instrumental Activities of daily living such as housekeeping, laundry, support with finance and budget and cooking
  • Assist consumers with cognitive and problem solving skills
  • To provide service under the guidelines as outlined within each consumer’s Individual Rehabilitation Plan or services identified based on aging in place
  • Support with community orientation and integration
  • Reporting responsibilities such as notes to file, incident reports• Follow the guidelines outlined by the  Behavior Consultant
  • Follow policies and procedures as required• Participate in any required training as outlined in MODC policies
  • Must be willing to work various shifts, including overnight shifts if needed

 

Qualifications / Compétences requises:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Social Services or equivalent experience
  • CPR/First Aid certificate required
  • Experience In the field is an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be a strong team member
  • Demonstrated team building skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to reliable vehicle
  • Must have good time management skills
  • Must have the ability to adapt and to be flexible with the changing needs of our program
  • Must be committed to contributing to a positive working environment
