Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Business Analyst will support and continue to enhance IT systems through the timely and accurate delivery of various IT projects within the Application Services team. The Business Analyst is responsible for business solution definition, technical and process recommendations, testing, and project execution in support of the MS Knowledge Network, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada’s hub of knowledge and navigators, providing consistent, quality MS information and support for anyone in Canada.  This position will provide analysis and support necessary to take the program to its next levels of growth and service enhancements. This is a contract role initially scheduled to run 1 year with potential for longer term employment. 

 

This is a position of trust.  The incumbent will be required to complete the screening process including completion of appropriate background checks in compliance with the MS Society’s National Screening Measures Policy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent customer service to Support Services staff for MS Knowledge Network systems/processes.
  • Monitors functionality and make recommendations for the continual improvement of MS Knowledge Network systems including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, call-centre system, and related applications.
  • Assists in process of gathering business requirements for systems development.
  • Completes various ad-hoc IT projects as assigned.
  • Facilitates user training sessions.
  • Verifies and assesses quality and functionality throughout system development.
  • Completes various administrative duties such as weekly updates and committee participation.

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Commerce, Business Administration with at least 3-4 years of experience in IT support and development or the equivalent education and experience
  • CRM database and report writing experience desired.
  • Experience working with Customer Relationship management (CRM) systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirement
  • Ability to communicate technical matters clearly in lay terms for full comprehension by non-technical users
  • Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
  • Experience with business analytics, data visualization, and report writing tools such as Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience with call-centre technology and best practices is an asset
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a regard for quality & professionalism
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; French is an asset
  • Self-starter with the ability to balance multiple priorities with overlapping deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • French language skills an asset.

 

Special Considerations: 

  • Office setting with occasional travel
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends
