Job Summary:

 

Reporting to the Site Coordinator, the Administrative Assistant 2 is responsible for supporting the administration of Open Door Group by performing data entry functions such as inputting client information into relevant computerized systems and maintaining databases and record management systems. The Administrative Assistant 2 is responsible for general record management duties and managing the busy multi-line switchboard; arranging deliveries; processing internal and external mail; and other basic administrative duties.  

 

 

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Graduation from Grade 12.
  • Completion of a Certificate in Secretarial Training or Office Management.
  • Minimum 6 months relevant and recent experience. 

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Suite Applications: Windows, Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Ability to accurately manage filing systems and databases.
  • Ability to type at 50 w.p.m.
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting duties and organize heavy workload.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to speak French an advantage
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
  • Ability to follow instructions and to work independently.

 

 

Hours of Work:             36 hours per week
