FULL-TIME HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR – EDMONTON, AB

(12 month temporary position expected to expire on or before January 08, 2019)

 

 

Position overview: UP Community Services is currently looking for an organized individual to fill our HR Coordinator role at the main office. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and will be responsible to provide support to the HR team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain reports, personal and job-related records pertaining to staff in the HR database
  • Maintain employee files ensuring all HR documents are filed and employee personal info updates are completed in a timely fashion
  • Support the full recruitment cycle – support of all recruitment processes, including drafting job postings, screening candidates, telephone interviewing, conducting reference checks, offering positions, and managing onboarding sessions
  • Manage complete intake process for all new and transferred employees and manage entrance orientation process
  • Perform a wide variety of responsible clerical, technical, administrative, and office duties in support of the HR Department
  • Be expected to maintain the strictest confidentiality to maintain electronic and traditional filing systems
  • Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • A completed post-secondary diploma/degree in Human Resources Management and a minimum of two years H.R. experience within a Human Resources setting. Experience with data entry, record tracking, use of complex filing system is preferred
  • A current, clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check
  • Knowledge and experience in using HRIS (knowledge of FileMaker Pro software will be an asset)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service
  • Proven ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and be detail oriented
  • A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and ability to be a team player
  • Able to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy.

 

Salary & Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience and education.
