Position Overview: As an essential member of the Finance & Infrastructure Division, the incumbent coordinates the delivery of an array of operational support services and is the Agency’s primary liaison with key funders, ensuring that all necessary financial reporting requirements are promptly and accurately fulfilled.


Summary of Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the Director, Finance & Infrastructure, the incumbent:

    • Directly supervises Division administrative staff (2) engaged in the provision of operational/infrastructure support services;
    • Liaises regularly with internal users of the HRIS system and takes appropriate action to ensure that their reporting requirements are met;
    • Consults with internal colleagues to facilitate the effective and timely provision of facility and asset support, including contract management;
    • Ensures that Board and funder reporting deadlines are met by completing all required reports accurately, comprehensively and within prescribed deadlines;
    • Performs month end account analysis and submits accurate and complete reports to funders and CCS management team;
    • Facilitates completion of the annual audit process by supplying all requested financial documentation;
    • Administers financial accounting system account structures and reports within required parameters;
    • Provides expertise, information and data to the Director in the preparation of CCS budget and funder proposals;
    • Provides expertise and guidance to Payroll & Accounts Administrator in the completion of critical daily tasks including accurate processing of payroll and payment of invoices;
    • Serves on the Agency’s Operations Coordination Team (OCT)/Middle Management group;
    • Acts on behalf of the Director in their absence regarding financial reporting and accounting matters 


Summary of Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business plus 3-5 five years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of formal training and experience;
  • Experience related to deliverables/accountabilities;
  • Supervisory experience in office environment;
  • In depth accounting knowledge;
  • Organizational skills;
  • Time management skills;
  • Detail oriented, accuracy;
  • Strong computer skills – Excel (i.e advanced Excel including pivot tables and vlookup functions), Word, Accounting software i.e. MS Dynamics, Quadrant Workforce;
  • Experience working with Great Plains accounting software is a strong asset;
  • Supervisory skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Clean Criminal Records Check.
