The Role:

Reporting to the Integrated Manager , the Supervisor of Administrative Services works independently and is responsible for developing, organizing and supervising financial and administrative functions related to the Quality Services and Community Planning and Development teams as required by operating policies and procedures as well as with various Acts and related legislation. This position is accountable for understanding the roles of staff and assuring that the office administrative systems conform, to CLBC’s Vision, Mission and Values, in its day to day operations.

 

The ideal applicant has demonstrated applied leadership experience, including motivating and managing employees; is able to develop and implement projects and/or programs and administer contracts and budgets; is able to clearly and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing at a level consistent with the group or individuals with demonstrated patience and tolerance; is able to lead the development of group objectives and enhance the output of the group through collaborating with management and staff; is able to work independently or as a team member in a high pressure environment; has a proven ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and influence while supervising, directing and training staff; is able to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with colleagues and service providers; and has excellent organization and time management skills.

 

Qualifications:

Grade twelve diploma or equivalent education required and the completion of a Business College or a Secretarial course, OR five years related experience, education and/or training in clerical or administrative support; experience or training in keyboarding and other standard computer applications (such as word processing, spreadsheets, data bases and the internet); has the ability to keyboard at 50WPM; and supervisory experience.
