Coordinator, Annual Giving
(6-months contract, 28 hours per week)

 

Canada has the highest rate of multiple sclerosis in the world, making MS Canada’s disease. The MS Society of Canada is the country’s leading MS advocate, funding leading research in MS and programs & services that help people live well with the disease.

 

Reporting to the Manager, Annual Giving, the coordinator is responsible for ensuring direct marketing campaigns, both print and email, are executed according to campaign timelines. This includes creative approval process, campaign sign-offs and ensuring production schedules are adhered to.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the manager, monitors production schedules for all campaigns, ensuring execution of campaign plans are on time.
  • Works with the manager to provide support with data management of campaigns including the review and approval of campaign sign offs.
  • Coordinates the review and approval of campaign creative.
  • Coordinates all English to French translation requirements for the campaigns.
  • Creates package descriptions to processing vendor for accurate set up of all campaigns
  • Responsible for monthly posting of direct response campaign materials to Mercury system
  • Updates report tracking for all campaign results
  • Provides support to the administrative customer service coordinator in donor relations
  • Processes duplicate receipt requests
  • Reviews donor satisfaction reporting based on direct response surveys
  • Pulls and reviews Canada Helps data
  • Monitors inventory levels and co-ordinate orders when necessary
  • Provides reception back up when required

Qualifications:

  • Three-year community college diploma in production or, direct marketing with at least 2 years of progressive experience or the equivalent education and experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in Windows programs (Word/Excel/Powerpoint and Outlook) and a knowledge of database programs are required.
  • Experience working with a fundraising database would be considered an asset.
  • French language skills would be a definite asset
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple assignments.
  • Working knowledge of production and direct marketing skills including knowledge of database marketing and management.
  • Highly detailed-oriented
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team member
  • Sound customer service abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and display sound judgement and discretion
