Job Summary

The BC Wildlife Federation (BCWF) is the largest, most influential conservation organization in BC. As a province-wide non-profit charitable association with over 50,000 members and more than 100 Member Clubs, our organization represents the interests of all British Columbians whose aims are to conserve and protect BC’s fish, wildlife and habitat for present and future generations.


We are currently searching for casual on-call staff to provide coverage for vacation leaves, special project work or for dealing with periodic increases in work volume. This type of employment is non-permanent. There may be a predetermined schedule but, on other occasions, the work may be on-call with the weekly hours varying greatly, depending on the individual assignment. At this time, we are offering full-time hours until the end of December 2017, followed by additional hours as determined by office needs.


Responsibilities and Duties

• Preparing mail-outs to various stakeholders.

• Data entry and data manipulation.

• Track and maintain records in database/shared drive.

• Office organization support.

• Supporting the front desk/reception area.

• Other tasks, as determined by department and organizational needs.


Qualifications and Skills

• Fast and accurate data entry.

• Intermediate experience with MS Excel and MS Word.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent customer service.

• Raiser’s Edge or similar database experience preferred.

• Some experience working in an office environment preferred.

• Must be Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and eligible to work in BC.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong personal alignment with BCWF’s mission, goals and values, (applicants are strongly encouraged to review our website for further details on these topics).

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including superior customer service attributes, a professional demeanor and a positive attitude.

• Must be extremely well organized, analytical, flexible and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

• Must be capable of lifting objects of up to 40lbs; with no physical or health limitations.
