We are looking for a well-qualified Cook to join our team at our Abbotsford program.


Primary Purpose: Oversees the day to day operations of the kitchen in a licensed residential facility, including all aspects of planning, receiving, storage, preparation and service of food.

Education and Experience:

  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Certificate in Institutional Cooking from recognized culinary arts school or equivalent experience
  • WCB Level One First Aid, Food Safe Certificate

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage and operate a commercial-standard kitchen safely, effectively and within budget
  • Understanding of women’s issues and experience working with marginalized population
  • Time management
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
