We are seeking a result driven, enthusiastic, flexible, and adaptable professional for the role of Grants Coordinator – Fundraiser. The Grants Coordinator will work on the Anba Abram Charity (AAC) projects including St. Mary’s Foodbank, Settlement services, refugees program, and other community initiatives. Reporting directly to the President, you will primarily be responsible for coordinating and executing the overall operation of community-based fundraising activities by building relationships within the community and providing resources and awareness 

The role of the Fundraising/ Grants Management Coordinator is to assist the Organization in promotion initiatives through the coordinated efforts of staff and volunteer resources. In addition, the role is responsible to:

  1. Promote the organization’s profile and mission,
  2. Develop and maintain strong volunteer partnerships,
  3. Develop, maintain, and enhance prospect development and strong business relationships,
  4. Develop a strong social media profile.

Grants Management and Fund Raising

 

  • Ensure any grant opportunities are sought out and applications are put together and submitted as appropriate and necessary.
  • Create a list of potential grants available within the government sectors, corporate foundations and philanthropies.
  • Communicate with granting organizations to introduce AAC projects and encourage program participation.
  • Work with the Treasurer to ensure all funding grants acquired are managed in a timely manner
  • Ensure any grant monies received are allocated appropriately and set aside for the purposes of that grant only.
  • Reporting on completed grants and managing funds.
  • Source fundraising ideas and opportunities and advise the committee.
  • Meet approved annual fundraising goals by supporting the execution of fundraising programs that may also include Third Party events and execute the AAC Month (Person to Person) Campaign fundraising program
  • Coordinate and manage approved fundraising events.

 

Business Management Accountabilities

  • Creates initial contacts with community members with the goal of increasing presence by selling and promoting AAC programs; liaising with current and potential contacts in order to maintain relationships and presence.
  • Promotes, coordinates and delivers programs; weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Promote AAC image and mission as an authoritative voice through Foundation information delivery.
  • Tracks program statistics and provides analysis of productivity, including analysis of revenue; develops and submits project plans and ongoing reports.
  • Donation collection and processing; involves counting and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education/Certifications

  • Minimum education – College/University certificate/diploma;
  • CFRE is an asset. 

Experience

  • Experience in fundraising and grants management in a not-for-profit industry especially in faith-based organizations is an asset.

Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to drive for results, while maintain and building effective relationships; strong communication skills.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Ability to anticipate and plan; problem solve and exercise sound judgment.
  • Goal setting and achievement orientated; time management skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible/adaptable; able to work in a fast past, ever-changing environment; able to effectively manage a demanding schedule and prioritize responsibilities.

 

COMPENSATION

 

Salary will commensurate with years of experience and qualification.
