CSCL currently has exciting opportunities for full time, part time, and casual employment providing supports to individuals with developmental disabilities to enable them to be an integral part of the community.


Duties & Responsibilities:


The primary function of this position is to provide meaningful, personalized support for individuals in their home and community. Successful applicants will be physically capable of performing safe transferring techniques and participating in all aspects of recreation and leisure activities (e.g. swimming).


Qualifications & Experience:


The successful applicant will have relevant post-secondary education and/or experience in supporting individuals with varying degrees of developmental and physical disabilities. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of current issues and practices, human values in delivery of service, and a strong ability to plan and work independently while actively involving individuals in this process. A positive and pleasant work attitude, effective communication skills, and the ability to relate positively to the public are essential.


Must possess or be willing and able to obtain a valid BC Class 4 Driver's licence, First Aid/CPR Certification, Food Safe, and be able to meet all other CSCL employment criteria (i.e. Criminal Record Check clearance, Doctor's Certificate of Good Health, etc.)




As per Collective Agreement ($17.47 – $20.34 per hour).


Benefits include Extended Health and Dental as well as participation in the Municipal Pension Plan, when eligible.


This position requires Union membership.
