abstinence seeking and delivered through a compassion based approach that recognizes addictions is a chronic recurring problem in the lives of most clients. Your primary responsibility is to provide ongoing supervision and evaluation of all staff personnel and program policies. Ensures the well-being of women, and infants in day-to-day operations in an efficient manner with attention to confidentiality and in accordance with all standards, contractual, legal and Society requirements.

 

Key Duties/Accountabilities:

Working under the direct supervision of the department director, you will be responsible for the management of the physical residence, hiring, and program operations within the approved program budget. You will ensure the program provides quality service within the standards of EFry Policy and Procedures and that staff have the support and resources necessary to perform their jobs and provide clients with the highest care and case management.

Education and Experience:

  • Completion of a 4 year post-secondary or/combination of diplomas in the field of social work, counselling or related field.
  • Three years’ previous direct program delivery experience in the community social services sector with a demonstrated working knowledge of a specific community based program and related provincial and community support is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer literate and have excellent and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Have a driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • The ability to function independently and frequently under pressure while managing concurrent needs and problems, including managing emergency situations.
  • Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector clearance checks and Level One Occupational First Aid.
  • Crisis intervention & counselling skills
  • Knowledge of mental health & alcohol/drug issues
  • Understanding of harm reduction philosophy
