Do you have some experience and/or training to work with developmental disabilities, and have a few hours per week availability to work regular shifts in Vancouver? If so, we’d love to hear from you! 
The Developmental Disabilities Association is seeking Respite Caregivers (19 years and older) to work with adults with intellectual disabilities part-time (mostly after school or on weekends, for regular weekly, 3-6 hr shifts). 
Requirements are: valid First Aid CPR, a clear criminal record, 2 work references, some training or experience in a field related to developmental disabilities.


Current respite needs include: 


1) Female caregiver for a 30 year old female with developmental disability for Tuesdays / Thursdays from 10 - 1

    using Public Transit to access the community.

2) Male or Female caregiver to support a young male with Autism on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 1:00 - 4:00 in the 


3) Male or Female caregiver for a young male with Downs Syndrome for Saturdays or Sundays from 1:00 - 4:00 in

    the community.  

4) Male or Female caregiver needed for a young 23 year old Autistic male for 2 days per week Monday to


5) Male caregiver only needed for a intellectual disabled male  to access the community once a week.

6) Female or Male caregiver needed to support a young male with an Intellectual disability in the community, Monday

    to Friday from 3:00 - 6:00.
