e4c’s Youth Housing Programs provides housing and support services to high risk youth during their transition to adulthood. The program is currently expanding to include a number of new opportunities that would provide additional support to the youth we serve.


This program works with a diverse population of youth who face a number of barriers. We work with each youth at their starting point, helping them achieve their goals and ambitions as they journey toward independence. Our work is youth focused, based on the principles of harm reduction, resiliency, and trauma –informed,  solution focused practice, and a strength-based approach.


Hours: 4 on 4 off, 12:00pm-9:00pm Monday through Friday, 1:00pm-9:00pm Saturday and Sunday.

In Your Role You Will

  • Build rapport with the youth, be an active and supportive listener.
  • Facilitate case assessments and case management sessions with youth.
  • Support youth in developing client-centered goals. Follow up on youth goals and progress.
  • Support youth in working towards day programming attainment (school, life skills, job, rehabilitation etc.).
  • Crisis intervention and one-on-one support.
  • Supporting youth with addictions, abuse, mental health, poverty and homelessness and PSECA concerns.
  • Facilitate group activities (recreation/education)


  • Degree/diploma in Human Services
  • 2 years experience working with marginalized populations (youth experience is an asset).
  • Extensive background and experience working with youth struggling with addictions, poverty, mental health, and trauma.
  • Proficient and skilled with computer use and database entry.
  • Standard First Aid, Suicide Intervention Training, Medication Administration, De-escalation, High Risk Youth, Harm Reduction and Aboriginal Awareness Training or willingness to obtain.
  • Must provide Police Information Check (including vulnerable sector) and Child Intervention Check.
  • Reliable, registered vehicle, driver’s license, a recent driver’s abstract and valid insurance including two million dollar liability coverage.


  • Strong interpersonal, non-judgmental, empathetic, flexible and ability to work with initiative
  • and independence.
  • Working knowledge and experience with harm reduction, resiliency, trauma-informed, solution focused practice, and a strength-based approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
