POSITION SUMMARY

 

The primary focus of the Business Solutions Coordinator is to develop a sustainable framework for ODG staff to achieve labour market outcomes of ODG clients and position ODG as a go-to agency for BC employers seeking support in filling labour needs and developing inclusive workplaces.

 

Under the direction of the Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Business Solutions Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, providing ongoing training and the continuous improvement of an outcomes-based prospect pipeline that results in on-going job placements.

In addition, the Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a training framework for Open Door Group staff and partners to effectively engage with employers, with the intention to place ODG clients, promote inclusive workplaces and cultivate/represent Open Door Group’s brand.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Social Sciences and/or Commerce; and /or the equivalent of education and expertise.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

  • Minimum 3 years recent relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a sales, account management, or business development capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to working with specialized populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to set standards and expectations through example in his/her conduct, work ethic, integrity and character.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with external partners, businesses, government and stakeholders as well as ODG staff.
  • Demonstrated event coordination and public speaking abilities.
  • Familiarity with business enterprise principles, employer needs and concepts designed to support business goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in utilizing mentoring, coaching, and/or training models.
    • Advanced MS Office and database skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the local labour market trends and opportunities in BC

 

Hours of Work:                                 36 hours per week
