Job Profile:


The Data/Applications Analyst plays an integral role in the provision of information, analysis, business intelligence and application maintenance/development to support mental health services, planning decisions, and strategy development leading to improved client care.

The incumbent has demonstrated knowledge to work with various sources of data including relational databases, flat files, excel spreadsheets by applying analytical skills to maintain data integrity across various sources/applications, analyze and present data in the form of reports and scorecards. The incumbent is a natural problem-solver and enjoys working on a variety of technical and customer applications to improve data capture (eg CRUD, Create Read Update and Delete), workflow processes and data-sharing. The incumbent will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable and regulatory requirements. 



  • Bachelor’s degree in such as Computer Science, Science, Math or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience dealing with data and applications such as CRM.
  • Proficiency using SQL to query, cleanse, integrate and aggregate data from various sources. 
  • Strong Report writing experience using tools such as Crystal, MS SSRS or Actuate. 
  • Knowledge of programming languages or scripting languages such as VBA, PHP, .Net, Javascript.
  • Business Intelligence experience using visualization tools such as Tableau, Spotfire or Power BI.
  • Experience with statistical packages such as SAS, SPSS or R is an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to display and explain complex analyses in an easily understood user-friendly manner geared to the target audience.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint). 
  • Strong attention to deal and willing to create clear documentation and instructions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and cooperatively in a team environment 
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and function in a dynamic work environment 
  • Ability to work co-operatively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders 
  • A valid Canadian driver’s license, a minimum $1,000,000 third party liability insurance 
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) 

This position reports to and is supervised by the Director of Information Technology.


Working Conditions:

Office work, semi-private setting.
