WATER RESOURCE ENGINEER
The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA) is a public agency dedicated to innovative watershed management supporting a healthy environment, communities and lifestyles. Located near Barrie, Ontario, the area offers affordable living, nature at your doorstep, easy access to the North and GTA, and many opportunities for cultural experiences. Our jurisdiction includes 18 municipalities in the Counties of Simcoe, Dufferin and Grey. Our watershed includes significant landform features, such as the Minesing Wetlands, the Niagara Escarpment, and the Oak Ridges Moraine.
The NVCA is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join us in the role of Water Resource Engineer. The Water Resource Engineer is directly responsible for completing engineering review of applications submitted under the Planning Act and the Authority’s Regulations. The incumbent will also be responsible for monitoring and implementing engineering projects.
The incumbent will have an Honours degree in Water Resources, Environmental or Civil Engineering or related field and must be a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario (P.Eng). They will also have a minimum 4 years demonstrated and progressive experience.
This is a permanent full-time position. The NVCA offers a competitive benefit package including OMERS (Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System). Salary is $72,818 to $88,488.
