Program Manager


Purpose
The Program Manager (PM) is directly accountable for the creation and delivery of AdaptAbilities Programs, encompassing quality, performance, risk management and financial viability across all facilities and programs. The PM is responsible for the administration of all departmental activities including planning, organizing, staff resourcing, monitoring and control of all program activities, in accordance with AdaptAbilities vision and values.

 

Key Functions

  • Create unique customized programs that tailor to the needs of the families and individuals who utilize Adaptabilities’ services
  • Develop program evaluation framework to assess program strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT Analysis) to improve programs and services
  • Uphold a high standard of program delivery, service and satisfaction by leading and managing program coordinators and the family liaison
  • Oversees the department budget and maintains department expenses within approved budget
  • Represents AdaptAbilities at various forums and builds strong relationships with external stakeholders and community members
  • Monitors compliance to policies and processes, information management and critical incident management for all programs

Qualifications

  • 5 -7 years’ experience working knowledge with individuals with special needs, complex behaviors, program management and curriculum development
  • 3 years management experience and non-profit experience is an asset
    Experience leading teams with initiative, patience, maturity and tact
  • Strong advocate for marginalized people or those with complex behaviors
  • Knowledge of community resources, services and systems
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, coaching and team building skills
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize multiple evolving tasks
  • Working knowledge of facility maintenance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle required
  • Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check

Working Conditions

This position is permanent full time position. Office hours Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30pm
