The Position

 

The Senior Coordinator, TCF plays a key contributing role for Tides Canada Foundation providing administrative support to the Development and Strategic Programs teams. The role provides a high-level of ongoing support for fundraising activities and is an integral part of both the Development and program operations teams. The Senior Coordinator, TCF will report to the Director, Shared Platform.

 

Primary duties and Responsibilities:

 

Fundraising Support

  • Coordinates the submission of proposals and related documents for Tides Canada Foundation funding applications
  • Coordinates the submission of reports to funders and related documents, as required by the funders
  • Maintains the database and documentation of gifts awarded to Tides Canada Foundation, including setting milestones for reporting deadlines, sending reminders to relevant staff, and ensuring payment milestones are accurately documented for forecasting purposes
  • Maintains the database of all Tides Canada Foundation revenue types (Solutions for Social Good, Restricted, Unrestricted etc.) appropriate documentation
  • Maintains ongoing data integrity by inputting contact information of incoming prospects and updating contact information of current fund holders and donors
  • Acts as back-up support for the Donor Advised Fund Program to ensure fund records hold accurate and complete information including contact information, fund roles
  • Acts as the back-up Administrator for the Donor Advised Fund and International Giving Program
  • Works across the Tides Canada teams on ongoing improvements of systems, processes, and resource allocations
  • Reviews and summarizes award agreement requirements for Program and/or Development Leads. Facilitate administrative requirements of award agreements (e.g. authorized signature and insurance certificates)
  • Provides administrative support to the Donor Advised Fund Portal, liaising with fund holders to trouble shoot problems and provide solutions as needed
  • Develop knowledge and skill set to be an integral member of the Development team
  • Actively participate in program operations team, including establishing processes that work across Tides Canada teams, ensuring consistency of process and being able to provide vacation coverage for Senior TCI Coordinator

 

Management Support

  • Maintain business analysis tools for statistical data
  • Support Director, Development in the coordination of reports and materials for quarterly financial reports as well as the Board and Committee meetings

 

Secondary duties and Responsibilities:

 

Operational Improvements

  • Be alert to, and cultivate the exchange of, information/ideas between Tides Canada teams and to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Assist with special projects
  • Work with the Finance and Information Systems teams on identifying arising database issues and collaborative developing solutions that support Tides Canada as a whole
  • Training of other team members as required

 

Requirements

 

Essential:

  • Bachelors degree in business, social or environmental sciences, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years related work experience 
  • Combination of education and work experience that reflects interest and aptitude in both administration and social inclusion or environmental conservation issues
  • Demonstrated flexibility and initiative in uncovering innovative ways to serve staff and clients’ needs
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to communicate and manage critical information with professionalism and discretion
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

 

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience in a non-profit environment and/or experience in fundraising or sales pipeline management
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and commitment to continuous improvements in efficiency and effectiveness
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage priorities with short timelines
  • Committed to accuracy and attention to detail

 

Salary and Staff Benefits:  Salary of $42,000 - $48,000 dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.
