Compliance Case Manager

Full-time Permanent Position


The Compliance Monitoring and Supervision department is seeking an analytical and diligent Compliance Case Manager to join the Compliance Monitoring Division. The Compliance Monitoring department is responsible for the oversight and monitoring of CPSO Committee decisions, including orders, undertakings and decisions from the five statutory committees.

As a Compliance Case Manager (CCM) you will analyze the Committee decisions and determine appropriate monitoring activities for each case file. You will utilize background information of each case along with committee orders, undertakings and decisions to determine which components require monitoring and what follow up activities are required. Working independently, you will determine the requirements for complex case files, including clinical or academic programs as well as drafting clear and concise reports for submission to the appropriate committee.


You will use your effective interpersonal skills to liaise with internal stakeholder and clients such as legal staff, investigators and committee members; external stakeholders and clients such as members, counsel and assessors. You will be required to attend committee meetings in order to respond to questions from the committee and draft undertakings for legal review. Working closely with the compliance monitors, you will develop a system of tracking and setting alerts to establish priorities and long term follow-up. As a manager, you will participate in the compliance department operations through the production, review and analysis of data and reports as well as budget development and maintenance.



  • A university degree required in law or nursing/healthcare and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience;
  • Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to manage complex workload with minimal oversight and to achieve challenging goals
  • Excellent time management and organization skills with a preference for case management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise with all levels of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the Regulated Health Professions Act, administrative law principles and other relevant legislation preferred;
  • An understanding of health care systems, key stakeholders and medical terminology would be an asset as well as a background in risk or general management;
  • Advanced proficiency with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office Suite;
  • A valid Ontario Driver’s License and ability to travel within Ontario.


The College offers a flexible 35 hour week and is located at 80 College St., Toronto, ON.
