Three days a Week


The Jean Tweed Centre requires a  highly skilled Family Counsellor for our Family Program.  This permanent, part time position, is for three days per week which includes one evening.  The Centre is a community-based agency providing services for women who are experiencing problems with substance use and/or gambling. Services are provided at the Centre.  This position comes with benefits including dental, extended health and long term disability.



  • Minimum 3 years experience working with women, families and substance misuse
  • Minimum 3 years experience providing group therapy, family and couple therapy
  • Masters degree in Social Work (preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in an all-female oriented, trauma informed, anti-oppressive environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of community resources and supports in the Toronto area
  • Ability to prepare and present information in both formal and informal settings
  • Knowledge of problem gambling (preferred)
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
