Member/Customer Services & Marketing Coordinator

 

Role:                     To provide customer service to Club members, in person, on the phone or via e-mail.

Assume all marketing responsibilities including social media, website and e-news communications.

Reports to Skating Director, with a dotted line to the President of Skate Oakville.

                                                           

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service
    • Review, identify improvements and implement changes to the customer touchpoint experiences for Skate Oakville including in the Office, on the phone, via e-mail and through Social Media.
    • Ensure the Office Assistants are aware of, and follow the new customer service expectations.
    • Process shinny and daytime ice payments.
    • Receive and distribute any skater payments to coaches as needed.
    • Make program changes for members in Uplifter and process accompanying payment changes.
  • Marketing
    • Promote Skate Oakville programs, new initiatives, and events.
    • Identify opportunities and then create marketing materials for the community and Club members.
  • Communication
    • Manage Skate Oakville website and content for all skating disciplines.
    • Create Club presence on Social Media
  • Support
    • Support Volunteer Co-ordinator and Program Assistant Co-ordinator with information, communication, and tracking of hours.
    • Support Skating Director, if required with administrative tasks as necessary.
    • Support Sponsorship initiatives as required with communications, marketing materials and website updates.
    • Support Skate Oakville Board with any other initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education.
  • Related work and/or volunteer position experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and creative Software (Photoshop, Adobe Suite), Wordpress.
  • Proficient with website maintenance and social media.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of figure skating, Skate Canada programs and working with volunteers is an asset.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 11 am to 7 pm.
