The Ambassador Engagement Coordinator will work closely with the Development Manager, Communications Lead, and Campaign Coordinator to build and deepen relationships with current and prospective donors and Ambassadors. This position will actively work to increase funds for BSCS and create opportunities for supporters to engage with the organization (donor appreciation strategy, tours, events, etc). Opportunities to work in collaboration with various other organizational departments will be available on a regular basis.



  • Develop gift growth & acquisition strategies for individual donors and prospects
  • Serve as primary contact for Boyle Street Ambassadors, donors, and meal sponsors
  • Lead the growth and execution of Boyle Street’s Ambassador Initiative
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of organizational campaigns
  • Identify opportunities for engagement for Ambassadors, donors, the general public, staff, and BSCS community members
  • Develop and oversee a timely and effective donor appreciation program
  • With support of Food Services Coordinator, coordinate meal sponsorships and volunteer groups to help serve meals in our community center kitchen
  • Facilitate onsite tours with meal sponsors, volunteer groups, donors and external stakeholders
  • Deliver onsite and offsite presentations to supporters and external stakeholders
  • General support of Development Manager, Development Director, and Communications Lead
  • Maintain sound reporting on donation and campaign activities



  • At least 2 years of post-secondary education is preferred but not essential. An appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered.

Skills, Abilities and Attitudes:

  • Exceptional organization and communication skills
  • Self-starter who is able to be flexible and work within a team as well as independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, often demanding environment
  • Ability to interact with variety of groups
  • Able to achieve and maintain good self-care
  • Great attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with CRM Database, such as DonorPerfect
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Able to communicate effectively and have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Adequate experience and comfort with social media
  • Demonstrates commitment and innovation to their work
  • Able to plan and make decisions in a timely, organized and appropriate manner
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle for work is required


  • At least 1 year of experience in Development, Fundraising, Communications, or Marketing
  • Experience with public speaking and delivering presentations
  • Experience with multiple communication platforms
  • Knowledge of and experience working in non-profit sector is an asset but not required
  • Knowledge and experience of working with a diverse multi-cultural community, including First Nations, Inuit and Metis cultures
  • Familiarity and understanding of the challenges and drivers of homelessness, poverty and addictions is an advantage
