In Your Role You Will 
  • Assess children's language and speech development by using methods that meet practice and professional requirements. 
  • Facilitate communication and development for all children using tailored approaches in conjunction with the ABA team. 
  • Model strategies and provide support and information to team members regarding communication development. 
  • Work collaboratively with community partners to build partnerships and share/access resources.
  • Establish, implement, and evaluate treatment goals; maintain program related assessments, and write reports to effectively deliver and evaluate program services. 
  • Efficiently maintain an assigned caseload.
  • Provide training and consultation to families and the ABA team on various strategies to promote a comprehensive program.
Education and Certifications 
  • Masters’ Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from a recognized institution in Canada.
  • Registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
  • Current First Aid and CPR. 
  • CPI is an asset.
  • Police Check with Vulnerable Sector. 
  • Intervention Record Check. 
  • Sound knowledge in Applied Behaviour Analysis and/or BCaBA/BCBA (in pursuit or completed).
  • Professional liability insurance
  • Client service oriented
  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule and adaptable environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to continuing education and personal development
  • Leadership skills with a willingness to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • 1+ year experience working with children with autism age 2-10. 
  • Experience working with socially, economically, and / or culturally diverse children and their families. 
  • Experience working within in a multi-disciplinary team is an asset.
  • Reliable access to transportation.
